Enclosure No. 1.
Enclosure No. 2.
Janchored
29
I have the honour to submit for the
signification of His Majesty's pleasure the following
Ordinance intituled: -
An Ordinance to amend the Waterworks Ordinance, 1903,
which passed in Legislative Council on the 25th July, 1929, together with the usual report thereon by the Attorney
General.
2.
The relief in the water shortage, consequent
upon the heavy rains which occurred while the Ordinance was under consideration, has renoved the immediate necessity for proceeding with special regulations thereunder for abolishing the so-called free allowance of water. The water positi on is, however, still far from satisfactory and it remains to be seen whether it will be necessary to proceed with the
regulations at a later date.
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient
A
humble servant,
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
LORD PASSFIELD,
